The font i created years ago and have used for making comics with photoshop is lost; i forgot to backup/copy when re-installing my pc.
However when opening old work in photoshop CS4 the font is still visibly apparent but not editable; photoshop wants to replace it with an existing font.
But apparently photoshop still remembers and use the missing font when opening documents written with that font.
Is there any way i can take advantage of this and re-create the missing font using photoshop?

Nope. Look for Font creation tools. That’s just pixel data
