  Pixel resolution

  Hi,

  I am not a graphic artist. I am dabbling in Photoshop CS and I need to be able to create a drawing that covers 3’X 2′ with “good” resolution. The type of drawings
  are very color intense.I am not sure I am even questioning correctly.

  What pixel and DPI settings should I make sure I have? Any help would be greatly

  appreciated.

  For print work, you generally want 300 pixels per inch (which in Photoshop would be 10,800 x 7200 pixels at 300 PPI). Print is often in CMYK color mode as well.

  If it’s going to print, ask and find out what specs the printer needs for sure. If it’s for something else, it’s hard to say for sure.

  Go to IMAGE in the top of your screen
  choose image size
  change the Resolution from 72 to 200 for a print document
