  Canon Rebel XS and photoshop CS3

  when i take the image file into photoshop CS3 there areas in the image file that are blacked out (looks like some pixels in the blacks are missing.)

  I am using the Canon Rebel XS and the lens is the Canon Zoom Lens EF-S 55-250 mm image stabilizer.

  Why is this happening? Is there something I can do to correct the problem?
