HELP! Adobe won’t help….
I installed CS3 Production Premium about a month ago and have issues that are keeping me from doing my job properly. Buggy software….! I emailed Adobe about an issue with Flash on September 5th – no response as of yet. I even posted in the Flash forum – no response there either. You can see I’m getting really frustrated…
I’ve got several problems, but this is a Photoshop forum so I will only ask my issue that I am dealing with in Photoshop CS3.
I have an Epson Perfection 2580 Photo scanner connected to my Mac Pro. I downloaded the latest drivers and installed them. The scanner worked great under CS2 but there is no listing for the TWAIN driver in the Import dialog. For the moment, I have to scan using the Epson Utility and save the file to disk or desktop, then I can open them in Photoshop. This is a REAL pain in the a…
Does anybody have experience with this?
I’ve tried to reinstall the scanner software. Still nothing.

Printer drivers are your printer issue… same with scanners….
You need to follow up with those manufacturers and get CS3 qualified drivers

https://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=2004100619481010can’t guarantee that it will work , but it’s worth a shot.
If you launch Photoshop in Rosetta and your scanner shows up that means the plug-in is still the non-intel mac version.

I was afraid that the Intel-based software bug was going to bite me. Bummer!
Just put in a tech request with Epson. Let’s see if I get anywhere.
