how do i permanently move an objects rotation point?

February 5, 2007 at 12:01 pmYou can’t do it permenently I don’t think..it resets to the middle each time you re-transform.
however..just had a thought, if you save it as a smart object then I *think* it will remember..try it. Not in front of PS myself right now.

February 6, 2007 at 8:38 pmYuo have the rubiks cube in the task bar whcih has the basic 9 references points.
If you need a diffent possition, you may want to create a dummy layer mask, where the center is the position you want to transform on, and make the layer mask include everything in the layer (works perfectly on the rare occasion I need to do this). You can temporalily unlink the layer mask from the layer if you need to recenter the layer against the mask.
