  Eyedropper hangs

  When I click on the color boxes in the toolbox, I get the eyedropper tool, but the big “color picker” box doesn’t appear and the program hangs.

  I dimly recall this problem before, but not the solution.

  PS 6.01, WinXP. Reinstalled PS+update, tried various color modes.

  I’m running PS CS2 on my newer computer, trying the identical keystrokes, and everything works — what am I doing differently here?
