I am creating an ad for a newspaper. The final art is going to be black and white. So, should I start with a grayscale new document to create the art. Or should I do my stuff in color then desaturate. Does it even matter? Thanks -Justin

If it’s going to be printed in Greyscale, then work in Greyscale.

Running “desaturate” doesn’t convert to greyscale – if you’re in CMYK, it’ll still be a 4-ink file. So just start/end in Greyscale.
