  • Changing color of my window background?

Posted by Sarah on June 30, 2005 at 1:25 pm

This question may have been posted before, but I wouldnt even know what to search for…

Someone else has been using my computer and changed some of the settings. The one I cant seem to figure out is the color of my file windows. I mean when I expand the window that my file is in, so that theres empty space around it, its usually gray, and now its not.

Does anyone know how I can reset it?

    Thanks!!!

Set the color you want as the foreground color then shift-click in the empty space around the image with the paint bucket tool.

    Change background back to Grey:

    1. Open the Color Palette

    2. Click on the open dialogue Icon in the uppr right corner (looks like a small grey arrow in a white circle

    3. This opens up another menu -> click on Grayscale Slider

    4. Dial in 28%, which is the default background color for Photoshop CS, whereas 30% is for CS2.

    5. Use the paint bucket tool to fill the background as posted above by Lutic.
