2016? Wow, you’re really thinking ahead!

For 2015, pay attention to the After Effects team blog right before NAB in a couple of weeks:

    Hi,

Is there any update related to After Effects for 2016? I am primarily asking if there are any more details to the newly replaced “Render Multiple Frames” feature which was removed for 2015.

It was noted at the time when 2015 was released that the new version of the feature would make better use of the CPUs and RAM, but it didn’t mention whether it would also make more/better use of GPUs. Is there any more information or hints at this time that can be given?

A new system is in the works and I am trying to semi-future proof it (at least for the next year/two).

    Thanks for your time!
    Peter

From what I’ve seen in the forums, Adobe is focused on getting the new renderer (CPU) done first and then look at improving other areas. They are looking into GPU features, but nothing set yet. Get a good number of cores with a high clock speed, an SSD, and 4 GB of RAM per core. GPU matters for Premiere or any AE third-party effects you’re planning to use (Element, Red Giant Universe, ShapeShifter, etc.)

Would like to see some major new features other than mere bug fixes and increased import formats.
