i am in the process of mocking up a web page in PSD CS and i am getting frustrated with the color difference in between the 2 programs. I am using standard web colors but the PSD layouts are quite a bit brighter. it is making it difficult to make color choices until i save the colors and bring them into GoLive, then i see what the real color is. Any ideas on why this is happening in PSD. Do i have a color setting set wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

Check your color settings in PS, specifically the RGB settings.

The best way to see color in PS as you will in GoLive and the web is to use the Save For Web option. That will show you the right colors.

Even when specifying the RGB or HEX numbers in PS, hundreds of more subtle colors available within Photoshop.

Saving for web eliminates the range of the ‘normal’ PS color/moniter space.
