  can’t expand dashed lines?

  i need to expand the appearance of some lines with dashed strokes. Whenever i try this, AI converts the lines to a regular, undashed line. Is AI incapable of doing this?

  Object – Flatten Transparency. Make sure “Convert All Strokes to Outlines” is checked.
