Activity Forums Adobe After Effects Automate keystrokes

I am doing a boring repetitive task in After Effects that involves a set of keystrokes that I have to do like a million times, no exaggeration, a million. OK maybe less than a million but still it is a pain in my wrist.

The sequence is something like this: Option right bracket, Page Down, Command Up Arrow, Left Bracket.

Is there any way to automate this series of keystrokes or make a Macro?

Thanks in advance to all the wonderful, intelligent, helpful folks at Creative Cow Forums!!

Since you’re using a Mac you can use Automator, here’s a link to a tutorial, the example uses FCP but could use After Effects.

Thanks for that but I am clueless about Automator. The tutorial seems to be showing the Automator in action but not how to program it. Will this work with commands and not just TEXT fill ins?
