    Hello! I am frustrated with this picture that I’m making for my signature in another forum called YaoiOtaku (don’t look at me like that! I just happen to like anime and other things, so my creations involve anime most of the time). The problem is that there’s shadow going past the mask on the picture, so it doesn’t look like it is actually cut up or transparent–you still see a box.

    I can’t find any solution to this problem, and I can’t mask the light itself, so I’m not sure what to do. Could someone help me fix this?

    Have you tried lighting first, then precompse the whole comp, then cutting it up and adding your transparency?
