I’m looking to create what should be a faily simple 2D effect, but haven’t been able to find a tutorial that addresses it in my searches.
Imagine a twisted or bent pipe with a constant width (imported AI file) to which I’d like to add a bulge warp that runs along the length of the pipe, similar to a python swallowing its prey. Possible with standard AE toolset? Is there a tutorial somewhere that I’ve missed?
Thanks for any and all help.

    Thanks Fahd & Dave.

It was a little trickier than I thought, but got it to work.

    1. I created a shape layer and traced the path of my “pipe”.

    2. I created an adjustment layer and added the bulge effect.

3.I added a Null Object layer and copied the shape layer & pasted it into the null position.

    4. Added an expression to the bulge effect and pickwhipped it to the null’s postion.

Works great. Maybe an easier way, but this worked for me. Thanks again.
