  XP PRO versus Windows XP Media Center

  Hi, I’m getting a new Dell computer and have to choose between
  either XP pro or XP media. Has anyone used XP media or have any recommendations on if either would be more advantageous for use with AE, Premiere, etc.

  Media Center Edition is mainly for home theater setups where you will be watching movies and stuff on it. I would recommend Pro.

  If you look at Madia Center in MyComputer/Properties you will see that it says XP Pro. What is up with this?

  Maybe it’s like a marketing thing and it actually uses Pro as a base OS.

  (like I know what I’m talking about)
