    Hi,

Apologies if this has been covered, I tried searching but it came up with a gazillion results.

I am new to playing with 3D camera animation but having a fun time with it.

i now have a composition which is getting fairly complicated and spread out on the stage.

My problem is that whenever I change viewing angle (above, left, right, active camera etc) I have to spend a lot of time searching the stage for where the camera is which seems very un-adobe.

    Is there something I’m missing?

    Many thanks,

    James Hargreaves

Try using one of the custom views. If you then select the Camera tracking tool (C) you can drag in that view to bring your scene into the centre of the comp (Try the orbit and pan tools as well). This doesn’t affect the camera’s position, it’s a feature to help you navigate your 3D scene. It also helps to have more than one window for your comp, if you Option (Alt) drag on the tab for your comp you’ll create a duplicate window. I find it helps to have one view as my active camera view and one as a custom view (or different view depending on what it is I’m doing).
