  • possible for Time remap to work on top of Check box controller?

    My situation | Comp “A” has a character rig that keeps a library of different animation. Each animation is within 2 seconds with a 5 second blank in between the animations (60 frames),
    so Animation 1 is from frame 0 – 30, Animation 2 is from frame 35-65, and do on.

    In Comp “B”, Comp A is inside and its being time remapped, such that I can swap the animation by typing the time it happens within Comp “A”.

    My task now it to add an additional accessory (a coat) to the character, and I use the Check Box Controller to control the opacity of the coat, and placed it on Comp “A”, within Comp “B”

    Currently, the time where I need the coat to appear is at 5 seconds IN COMP B, but needs to be played in ‘Animation 1’, which happens at the 1st second in Comp A.
    When using the Check box at 5 secs in Comp B, the coat appears at 5 seconds in Comp A, despite the time remap.

    ====

    Is there a way to go about this by making the Check box controller activates with the time remap on top of it?, or its just not possible?

    It sounds like it’s not possible, but an option would be to make the coat’s opacity a master controls property with the checkbox, then enable or disable it on your comp you need to (you might need to pass the controller through several comps). I will occasionally do this if I need to duplicate animation references with slight changes, just tweak a property within a master properties.
