Very Simple but having a Brain Fart
So basically I am simply trying to link a layers position to a null that does not have the same position values.
How do set this up?
Layer one(the layer I want to link to the position to the nulls position) values being 960,960
Null values being 680,720.I felt maybe in was a linear() set up but couldn’t figure it out.

The simplest solution is to parent the layer to the null. Which works if you’re only going to be moving the null, not rotating or scaling, etc.
If you want just the position, you can use
thisComp.layer("Null 1").transform.position+[280,240]Kalleheikki Kannisto

Makes sense how you’re adding the extra difference of the value.
I have to take some expression classes or something because I understand a lot of it but some things I just don’t understand the syntax and how to properly write it to make it work.

We’ve all been there. Refreshing on Javascript and going through the AE Expression Reference will get you there in a reasonably short amount of time if you have any prior programming experience.
