    Hello,

I’ve lurked here for years. First time posting.

I am having a problem animating a mask on some tracked footage.

I tracked a head (clip A) onto a body (clip B) The track is phenomenal (Not really but let’s say that it is) but the “neck mask” goes off a little bit.

“No problem” says I, “I’ll just animate the mask in a simple roto job. So I go to move the mask… and this happens.

I pull out the points and nothing happens. I have seperated the masks into two clips so CLIP A (the head) is now “HEAD” and “NECK” one mask each. The mask doesn’t mask where the mask is (thus not being a mask?) and will animate/pop randomly…

Sort of at a loss to troubleshoot when my ae reality starts breaking.

    Can ya’ll help me? Thanks!!

Yes the masks are both on the head clip. A mask for the head and a mask for the neck. I am trying to animate the neck.

There seems to be a problem with the clip being parented to the null which has all the tracking data… Would that effect the position of the mask?

    /baffled.
