    Hi guys! I have no idea how to know if an effect is an Built In effect or a 3rd Party effect… Is there a method to know that kind of information? I’ve already read the scripting guide but nothing…

    Ohhhhh, you mean during scripting run? Let the system check for 3rd party or native fx?

    If I were trying to do this I might ;
    1 – make a list of all the match names for all the built-in effects
    2 – have my script find all the effects in the comp/project and their match names
    3 – have my script tell me which match names found in the comp/project are NOT also found in the list of built-in match names
    4 – and those would be the 3rd party effects
