  Change text character based on color map

  I’m looking to create an ASCII effect with a textbox that fills my comp, using another comp as a black and white map and changing the letters in the text box based on the color in the color map?

  you’ll set the ‘target’ in the expression to the layer (or pre-comp) that has the image in it.
