  Changing Comp Name in After Effects XML

  Hi Guys…

  I’m doing some automation…which involves encoding an .aepx thru Adobe Media Encoder.

  It’s based off a .aepx where I swap footage.

  Is there any way to change the comp name in the .aepx file?

  Otherwise all my files come out with the same file name (plus an increment).

  Hi All…

  I searched and found a match within the Project XMP metadata

  

  (where FVP_slate_30 is my criteria)
  BUT…

  changing this did not appear to change the comp…and thus the video file rendered.

  however….I have determined that using FCP XML from PPro will actually work just fine for this project as the assembly is just a few elements….

  so I now have that working…

  this will be a template processed by PHP and then dumped in a watch folder for AME to encode….

  anyway….I have a workable solution….hope this helps someone else who runs into this….
