• Adobe After Effects Expressions

  Linear wipe triggers once null appears on screen.

  Hi,
  I’m not sure how to approach this. I have a left to right animation with easing. The animation starts off screen and ends off screen left to right. I’d like the linear wipe to follow the null that controls this animation but to remain in sync with the ease. Any help on this?

  Something like this should work:

  p = thisComp.layer(“Null 1”).toComp([0,0,0]);
  linear(p[0],0,thisComp.width,0,100)

  And here I was trying to do if else statements… Here’s my curve ball, what if I need to offset the wipe so one does start a bit later than the other?

  Something like this maybe?

  delay = .1;
  p = thisComp.layer(“Null 1”).toComp([0,0,0],time-delay);
  linear(p[0],0,thisComp.width,0,100)
