    Hi forum,

    Let say i have a text layer 1 wrote “WELCOME”.
    and i have a another text layer 2 to pick one of the letter from text layer 1 “WELCOME”. eg: L

    How can i do that? Please help me. 🙂

    Like this:

    thisComp.layer(“text layer 1”).text.sourceText[2]

    If you wanted more than one contiguous character (“lc” for example), you could do it this way:

    thisComp.layer(“text layer 1”).text.sourceText.substr(2,2)
