    Hey guys,
    I’m trying to connect the Position Y of two objects.
    I can easily connect all the axis (XY and Z) with expressions, but i only need the one object to follow the other’s Y, and ignore the Z and X.

    Please help!

    This should work, paste in the position property. Change the name of the ‘leaderlayer’ to the name of the layer you want to take the y position from. Do remember though, since it doesn’t mock it in z space, changes in that will make it appear that the y positions aren’t linked because of parallax (even though they will be)

    y=thisComp.layer("leaderlayer").transform.position[1];
    [value[0],y,value[2]]

    “|_ (°_0) _|”

    Sincerely,

    George
