Trim Path end value controlled by camera Z
Hi!
the question….
…first, the elements I have (there are some more elements, but not important here):
1.cam
2.null to control the cam
3.shape layer with a curvy path (like a long long road), and Trim Paths set both Start and End to 0.At certain point, the camera flies to the infinite Z, and I want the Trim Path`s End value goes from 0 to a value controled by the camera`s Z movement (or maybe the null wich controls the camera), so you are like a bird flying and watching the road growing at your feet.
No matter where in Z you are, that End value will always be close to you so you can see the road`s end border…
(My explanation is awful, but I think you get the picture)I tried tweaking a bit that “Fade opacity of a 3D layer based on distance from camera” expression, but not getting great results (mainly because at certain point that X value increases more than the camera Z movement and the road grows at 100%)
Many thanks!
