  • Expression to access a layer’s 3D material’s ‘Accepts Lights’

    Hello.

I’m trying to link a bunch of layers’ 3D material’s ‘Accepts Lights’ option to a checkbox, but this (along with casts shadows and accepts shadows) is a non-keyframeable option. But is there a way to access this though some kinda magical layer property expression?

    Thanks,

    Paul

You can access it like this:

    comp(“Comp 1”).layer(“Medium Red Solid 1”)(“Material Options”)(“Accepts Lights”)

but you can only read it, you can’t control it.

Thanks Dan…I suspected it might not be controllable, but was secretly hoping you, being The Undisputed King of Expressions, might reply with some kind of magical hack!
