  Video screens pasted to an invisible cyclinder…

  Newbie alert!

  Hello, I’m trying to orbit video screens around my subject in 3d space. I have already shot my subject in front of a green screen and done the necessary keying. I want to have the subject with a ‘video hoolahoop’ rotating around him.

  Imagine my subject inside a completely transparent cylinder (we don’t want to see the cylinder), with the video screens plastered / pasted / stuck to, the outside of the cylinder. The cylinder then rotates 360 degrees around the subject. Therefore we see both sides of the video screens during a full rotation.

  I’m creating a promo for a law firm and they want a minority style feel to the whole thing. So the subject will be bringing video screens into view which then start to orbit around him.

  CC Sphere’s Cylinder property includes options to render Inside/Outside/Full of a cylinder. This would be the easiest way to go about it. This is of course a 2D solution.
