  • pixel or region analyzing for CC and blurs

    Hey guys,
I am replacing an object in a scene with a card I am tracking in. However the original object has some interactive lighting from its environment. I would like to analyze a region from the original object and than apply those RGB values to my color correction so my replacement cards’s levels animate based on the scene. This way I can avoid setting multiple key frames by hand based on eye matching. Can someone point me in the direction to do this type of applied pixel or region analyzing? This might be simpler than it sounds? I suppose I could do this with a blur also…but my focal length does not change so just need this to work with RGB levels.

    Thanks again!

So I am looking to grab the RGB and Luminance values of lets say a car driving under multiple street lights.

Replace the car with a still…of a…Beer can?

Now the card or in this case the beer can flickers with the same values as the original car, and you can apply the values via “levels” or in a way that you can mimic the original lighting.

    Thanks
