    Just on the off-chance….

Is there a clever way of extending the functions that expressions inherently understands?

I’ve written a lot of my own functions that I keep in a big text file and copy and paste as I need them.

What would be very cool is if I could customize my copy of After Effects to inherently understand my functions too, without me having to define them in the expression each time.

Saving them off as presets would be one way of doing it. Writing a script to append each function to an expression would be another, but neither gets round that fact that you still end up with expressions that are potentially hundreds of lines long… which After Effects doesn’t much like.

Plus, it would save me having to replace my keyboard due to a worn out ‘C’ and ‘V’ key! 🙂

I really see how this could be useful. I’d also ilke to declare some global Variables on a Null 😎

Flash is (was ?) able to do this (expanding and overloading functions), but thus far After Effects isn’t.
