Dancing Grain on Greenscreen Keylight Footage
Hi Everybody,
Following problem: I have a Photo Frame with a green screen tissue inside. There is little Iron hooks going over the lower part of the frame (see video Sample).
This hooks make a shadow on the greens screen which I managed to preserve, so it’s then partially visible on the Picture that I insert.
Unfortunately, the shadow part is horrible dancing grain.
Any idea how I can erase that through playing with the keylight settings?I work on CS 6, not cloud.

I have found luck with keying situations like this. With keylight I select the green shadow (darkest green) instead of the lighter green that is in the majority of the shot. That usually solves the problem. If not then you will need to mask it out. Which luckily your shot is locked down.

Hi Stephen,
I tried the dark green thingy already and masking is not an option since I do want this part to be semi transparent since it’s a shadow casted on the picture from the hook.

Dang, that isn’t good that it didn’t work. If you have to go the masking route you can then add shadows back in with color mattes. Sorry about the bad news. Hopefully someone has a better idea then mine. Have you tried playing with the different Replace Methods? Sometimes switching it to Hard Colour or the other options works.
