I have a layer using particular, and a light set as the motion path. I added the wiggle expression on the position of the light so the particles will spawn and follow a squiggly path.

My problem is they seem to spawn and only wiggle upwards above their start point on the Y axis.

I need them to spawn from the center and move around on a path surrounding the center, not just above it.

    What am i doing wrong?

    Thanks guys.

If you want the particles to move around after they’re emitted, I think you need to play around with the Turbulence settings.

Depending on whether you have a speed check expression on the particle layer or not, you might want to toggle the gravity down and add some turbulence, like Dan said. Alternatively, you can duplicate the particle layer and rotate it 180 and cut both particle counts in two.
