  Random movement from a specific position?

  Hey People,

  I got a bit of a head scratcher. I have this is .ai file and I want it to move around randomly like a bubble would.

  The problem I have is getting an expression to start at a specific position and then become random (kind of like a particle emmiter).

  Could anyone help me out with this? Is there an expression for this floating around? Is there some way can add this image to an emmiter?

  You can just set position keyframes for the overall movement (say a rising), then add a wiggle expression to Position:

  wiggle (.3,30)

  Change the .3 (Frequency) or 30 (Amplitude) as needed. The wiggle will add a random movement ontop of the keyframed movement.

  There is another way, always in AAE.

  You can put custom particles in Foam.

  Foam
  View: Rendered
  Rendering:
  Bubble Texture: User Defined
  Bubble Texture Layer: Choose your layer

  Then Drop the Produucer:Production Rate: to something like .001 to get jsut one bubble.

  That works very nicely. Thanks! I was going to look into particular for this project but this seems to do the trick.
