swap layer depth… is it possible?
Hello folks. I have 4 layers, each one has animated opacity that goes from 100 to 0. Anytime a layer hits 100% opacity, I’d like it to be the top-most layer, i.e. index 1. This is easy to do in Flash, but I’m wondering if it’s even possible in AE?

I don’t think so. Maybe Dan will clarify. But…
How about making the layers 3D, adding a camera (the default look like no camera is there, just a 2D setup) and then stack them in 3D space, say 1 pixel apart, then with a little if statement moving it toward the camera when it hits 100% opacity? It should work. Or maybe I’m crazy, just a thought.
