  Getting crg_Text_from_File.jsx to work with CS3?

  Heya,

  Quick Q: does anyone have CRGreen’s crg_Text_from_File.jsx (from https://www.crgreen.com/aescripts/) working in CS3 on an Intel Mac?

  It only works as far as bringing up the file selection dialog…then I can’t select a text file, they’re all greyed out. I’d like to know if its just my machine or a CS3 problem!

  try changing this line:

  var myFile = fileGetDialog(“Select a text file to open.”, “TEXT txt”);

  by deleting the , “TEXT txt” part;

  this is there to limit what files you can select.
  Probably got buggy in cs3

  Did anyone manage to get around the “TEXT txt” line on CS3 MAC and succesfully import text?

  is it because its impossible to have a ‘.text’ file extension in OSX10.5 ?

  Tried deleting the “TEXT txt” line (@ line 86) but var needs 2 components it seems. Tried putting in question marks and leaving it blank – neither worked..

  Im brand new to scripting (Better late than never) and finding a solution would save me a LARGE amount of manual labour. Any Clues.
