Are there any after effects sites on the internet that provide free video tutorials like I have found with Photoshop. Some of these sites provide some high quality tutorials for intermediate and advanced users. I have found these sites via Photoshop magazines, are there any After Effects magazines in the same venue?

The best AE Magazine is the Cow’s:

    https://magazine.creativecow.net/

Click on “Adobe After Effects” on the main AE page, here:

    https://forums.creativecow.net/cgi-bin/new_view_posts.cgi?forumid=2

and you’ll get all the Cow tutorials, many are video tuts. You can also click on the heads of the moderators on the main page and scroll their tuts, all of Aharon’s are video tuts (60 plus).

Also Andrew releases tuts on his own site a little faster than he does here, so his newest are here:

    https://www.videocopilot.net/tutorials.html

Serge has some nice stuff here:

    https://www.nyc-visual.com/movies.html

While no video tuts available, Dan’s AE Expression/Scripting site is da bomb:

    https://www.motionscript.com/

Ayato has slick tuts that suffer from Translation:

    https://www.ayatoweb.com/ae_tips_e.html

There are 158 AE tuts here:

    https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/designcenter/search.cfm?product=After+Effects&go=Go

that are a bit of a pain to find what you want, many are video tuts.

Steven Gotz had lots of links, here:

    https://www.stevengotz.com/ae.htm

There are other scattered AE tuts, just Goggle “After Effects Tutorial”.

    also try looking at https://maltaannon.com/
i use expressions quite a bit.
i like to have as much control over the things i go as possible,
so i use scripts, expressions, and clever precomposing.

I’m looking for a link to a site that was referenced on one of the Cow forums that gave examples of expressions (mini movie) with the expression code for each one demonstrated. Does anyone know whose site that might be? The auther comment that the site was a process and he/she had been working on it for awhile. It was clearly stated with the code each demo.
    Thanks.

Take a look at Dan Ebberts site. He has something like that in his AE Expressions Lab:

    https://www.motionscript.com/expressions-lab-ae65/table-of-contents.html

You can click on his picture as well and find links to tutorials here at the cow as well as a link to his site.

[Maltaannon] “also try looking at ” target=”_blank”>https://maltaannon.com/”

I tried this link and it went nowhere. Also added <> in front of maltaannon and still no luck. Please advise. Thanks.

Thanks. I have been on his site, in fact has quickly answered a question I had. Dan’s site is one of the best I’ve seen on expressions however this isn’t the one I was looking for. The site was definately on the CreativeCow site forum and referenced recently in response to giving someone information. There were little animations on the site with the expression code following it. For example, one had a set of arrows with one in a different color weaving between the other arrow layers. There wasn’t as much explanation as I recall like Dan’s site, mostly the details on the set up and code. Thanks.
