    Hello all,

I am a professional AE user of some years but who’s Expressions knowledge is kinda non-existent and I’d like to use Expressions on this animation rather than keyframe everything laboriously:
I have 9 squares in a grid formation within 4×3 safe of a PAL widescreen comp.
I would then like square 1 (top left) to scale up and form position in the centre whilst the other squares scale down and move out of position so that they do not touch the large centre square. Then the large centre square will scale back down and form its original position whilst the other squares scale back up and form their original positions too.
Then I need square 2 (top middle) to scale up and form position in the centre while the same animation for all other squares happens once more.
I eventually need all squares up to the square 9 (bottom right) to scale up and form position in the centre.
    Hope that makes sense.
Any help to achieve this would be appreciated my friends.
    Marc

You’d need to provide more info before somebody could take a stab at this. What, exactly, happens to the other boxes while one is scaling up? Do they maintain the same gap between themselves and the expanding square, or does the gap diminish as the squares shrink?

Let’s say the top center box expands, where do each of the other squares end up?
