  • Wiggler expression help – Camera Walk

Hi, I’m trying to make my cameras movements look like it’s ‘through the eyes’ of a person walking, so I thought I’d add the wiggler to do so..but the camera is moving towards the subject within the selected keyframes and so all the wiggling seems to happen more radically at the end when its more ‘zoomed’ in on the subject but I need it smooth throughout..should I be creating an expression for this, am I right in thinking the wigglers magnitude appears more radical as the image is more zoomed in? i.e moving 15 pixels when its really far out u may not notice but when its closer up and more detailed, 15 pixels moves a lot?

Any help would be greatly appreaciated 🙂

Wouldn’t that be exactly how it looks in reality ?
I assume you’re not actually zooming, but are moving the camera forwards.
If you’re far away you get less parallax than if you’re close:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parallax
Trying to counter this effects will give an unrealistic effect.

However, Check out this FAQ on how to control wiggle amount over time:
“How do wiggle expressions work/how do you tie one to a slider?”

You could add a little wiggle to orientation as well.

Possibly it would be (like reality) but at the moment its too extreme to look real, ill check out those links, and thanks a lot!!
