  Syncing Heartbeat with Glow

  For a quick, 20 second promo for a show that we broadcast, I’ve made an EKG monitor using Aahron’s quick podcast on the matter. I’ve added some other bits as well. I was seeking a way to sync the sound of a heartbeat to an animated glow effect applied to some text. The idea is that the glow will pulse with every beat of the heart. I checked out Roland’s tutorial on the audio LED meter, but I’m not sure that this will result in the correct effect. Any suggestions?

  In general, you would convert the audio to keyframes, then link the value of glow parameters to the keyframes via expressions. You might need to scale the keyframe values and you might want to add them to the existing values of your parameters. It all depends on what you’re trying to do.

  If you need help with the specifics, please post more details about the relationship you want to establish between the audio and the glow parameters.
