  Matte Feather

  Is there a plugin in after effects that works like Matte Feather and Matte Feather EZ from Commotion.
  I know how to use it to fix matte edges in Commotion, but I do most of my work in AE nowadays and I sooooo hate switching back and forth like a chump.

  the Matte choker should give you some of the control you need.
