hi..my boss presented the work i finished last week and the contracter sayd it was bullshit… so i need to redo it.. i have the concept but i ran into a problem…

basicly i want to create a grid and a camera that runs over it… and some plates on the grid will be movies…

the problem is to create the grid and loop it.. so i created a 2000×2000 grid and animated it from top to bottom..

so i imported it, made it a 3d layer and surprise… it animated itself down i mean it slided out of the picture and not over and over again
i cant create a image thats 30 000 pixels cuz AE hogs on it… so..

how can i create an almost endless 3d grid like in the picture which rolls down…
i need to be able to have it in perspective…

here is the link to the picture: https://hohmann-kronach.de/temp/1.jpg

    Thanks for any expediate help
    my yahoo is: sybrtrance

ok i do have another problem…

since i created the animated grid allready and looped it.. no whenever i put a movie into one of the squares it wont run along since its not a camera that flys over … and i have more than 80 movies i have to put on the grid… so i need a camera to fly over a looped grid..so that i dont need to track each movie into a square… any ideas?

If I understand correctly, try dragging the Comp into another Comp (precomp it) then add a camera in the new comp and fly around. Does that work?

i kinda worked the camera thing out…

    i did the 2000×2000 checkerboard… and made it tile offsetting a copy 2000 pixels.. untill i reached 30 000

that works… now i have a problem i am sure i wont figure out by myself…

i need to bind the X axis of a layer to the Z axis of the camera so they fly in sync… anyone know the expression?
