  Lens Flare Z

  obviously when you create a lens flare, it makes it the size of the layer. but is there anyway to size the effect in “Z” without affecting the layer size. i need a Small lens flare that doesnt show the edges of the layer when the flare is moved around. i hope that makes sense. thanks for the help in advance.

  The brightness setting whithin the lens flare filter is probably the closest you’ll get to a size that doesn’t effect the layer size.

  So maybe keyframe or use an expression to associate the z depth with the brightness parameter.
