  ascii art according to this link?

  Here is a very short description of how to make ascii art in AE. Does anyone understand what’s happening here and if so, explain this to the lesser Gods like me?

  gosh, i visited that page a few weeks ago, and still dunno how to achieve that effect!

  pleeeaseeeeeeeeeeee any pro to bring us the light……. 🙂

  Im completely lost on this: “Ok, create an array of ascii characters in after effects. Now you map the
  darkest parts of the image to characters like . , : and you map
  the brightest parts of the image to characters like 3 8 #”

  Creating an array of ascii characters can be done in an expression. But mapping those to the grayscale values in your image? Lost…

  Somebody out there who understands this kind of stuff?
