I was wondering if someone would be able to help me.

Ive been trying to figure out how to go about this the best possible way but cant seem to figure it out. I would like to have a 3d object interact with my actor which I shot video footage of. I would like for him to pick up an object off the table …over the top of the object and rotate it towards himself. The object would be in 3d and I would just shoot the talent miming picking up the object. How would I achieve this?

I tried tracking the finger tips in mocha pro but how would I achieve the objects rotation?

any help would totally be appreciated.

If the motion is mostly on a 2d plane, you could use the rotation and position data that you get from Mocha into C4D Lite or whatever 3d plugin you’re using.

However, this sounds more like a job for PFTrack and a dedicated 3d solution.
