  Adding Video to 3d Model using Video Copilot Element

  I have green screen footage of 2 kids looking out of an airplane window. I need to start with the faces of the kids and pull out and reveal the plane in flight.

  When I add the video footage to the airplane map, I have to scale the footage down to match size. Video gets really pixeled when I zoom in.

  I cant figure out how to do this effect.

  But I need the camera to zoom all the way out to reveal the plane in flight

  I wouldn’t map the video over the model as a texture. As you discovered, it will lose it’s quality when zoomed in. I’d just create a mask over the footage and then track it as you zoom away from the airplane. Sometimes, you gotta get your hands dirty with keyframes 🙂

  I ended up creating a row of airplane windows – making that a composition and inside VC Element, I created a 3d null on the airplane. I copied the position data of the null to the airplane windows comp
