  AE 5.5 is rendering with jitters

  Greetings~
  I’m useing AE 5.5 on a MAC OS9. When I’m rendering with PSD, jpg, and targa layers, any bit of movement is jittery, and tears brighter immages. A RAM preview in AE looks fine, but when I Render, and veiw them in either QuickTime, or in Avid, They look terrible. HELP. I’m not sure what’s wrong. I have a feeling it’s the Codec I’m useing, however I’ve tried Video, Animation, AND the Avid Meridian Compressed codec, and all three have the same result. Could it be something different? I also have tried an “old” copy of AE 4.0 (yes… a dinosaur), and it renders fine, but I can’t use my 3rd party plugs with it. Any ideas how to fix this?

  Have you tried rendering with fields on?
