  help with 8mm flicker

  just looking for advice on ways to decrease flicker on some 8mm footage i have transferred. Honestly it looks better then i expected, but i would like it to turn out as good as possible. Any tips or software advice would be appreciated.

  it was transferred by using a dv cam to record it off a foam board. It actually looks good, I was just going to try to cut down in the variation in brightness. I am going to boast the contrast as well.
