  • Precomp’ed adjustment layer – masking negates it?

Posted by Elliot Frahs on March 28, 2014 at 9:17 pm

In a precomp named “frosted glass,” I have (among other layers) an adjustment layer with a fast blur effect. In my main composition, I set the precomp to collapse transformations, and the precomp successfully blurs all the layers beneath.
However, if I try to add a mask to the precomp, or a track matte, or the “set matte” effect, the blur disappears. What is going on?

Thanks in advance for the help!
