  Puppet Pin Tool with silhouette alpha

  Hi there,

  I’ve been thinking a lot how I can fix a certain movement in a little animation movie I am making, but I am a bit stuck. I hope you guys can help me out a little… For example I have this guy picking up a suitcase: https://i.imgur.com/v70SbuR.jpg.

  What I would like to do is animating his arm with the puppet pin tool, but including the border substracting the suitcase. Normally when I animate something like this (only using rotation, position or scale) I would cut the arm, make an extra layer of the border, put the blending mode of this border on silhouette alpha and parent this to the animated arm layer. But animating both at the same time with puppet tool is what I want to do kind of. I was thinking to pre-compose the arm and the silhouette alpha of the border, but the blending mode of the border is not applying on the suitcase.

  What’s the best way to animate the arm with the border?

  The Puppet Pin Tool works with the inherent alpha channel of a layer. PreComp, and then apply PPT.
