  Advice on a new iMac?

  Hi guys, I’m currently working off a 27-inch 3.2GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 iMac with 32GB of RAM at work, where I use a lot of After Effects, Premiere and Cinema 4d. It’s great to work on and I was planning on buying the same iMac for home.

  However, I’ve been offered a year-old 21.5-inch 2.7GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 which I can upgrade to 16GB of ram at a MUCH lower price, I’m just wondering if this would be fast enough to work on using After Effects etc? Needless to say I’m expecting it to be slower than my iMac at work, but would it be unbearably slow?
